| Deciding on a Business Structure When you start your business you must decide on a legal structure for it. The Businesslaw.gov website provides some comparative information on business structures as well as links to other sources of information on legal structure. Under the “plain English Guides” heading, click of the “Starting a Business”, then on “Business Structure”. Also, try Nolo Press. Click on the “Plain English Guides” tab near the top. It offers a comprehensive review of business structures. Publication 583 of the IRS also explains some of the tax implications of different business structures. |
